Principal

Mr. Welden holds the position of Principal at Martin & Martin. As Principal, he is responsible for all project managers and engineering design including grading, drainage, utilities, and traffic. He is further responsible for providing guidance and direction to all staff to maintain quality of work and client satisfaction. Mr. Welden performs project oversight and works with clients and agencies in order to maintain a fully coordinated design within the given schedule and requirements of the approving agencies.

Prior to becoming Principal at Martin & Martin, Mr. Welden held the position of Group Manager at RA Smith National & Associates. During his time with RA Smith National, Mr. Welden was responsible for the day-to-day and long-range health of an engineering team. His team designed and closed out numerous large-scale retail projects across the country. These projects included all on-site civil design aspects as well as off-site infrastructure improvements. He also conducted and managed site due diligence studies in over 25 states.
