Nestled in the hub of Clark County, the desert inspired Government Center is one of Southern Nevada's striking buildings. Voted as Best Non-Hotel Architecture in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Best of Las Vegas 2005, this center was built in 1995 to reflect Nevada's historical ecology and cultural heritage.
The 385,000-square-foot facility includes an outdoor amphitheater and stretches across 38.8 acres of land located on the southeast corner of Grand Central Parkway and Bonneville Avenue. The forms and materials of the building blend seamlessly to tie it to the local environment, particularly Red Rock canyon, the Valley of Fire, and other natural sandstone formations symbolic of Clark County.
Martin & Martin provided civil engineering design and surveying services which included preliminary engineering, drainage analysis, grading and utility design, traffic study, and parking analysis of a 1,500 stall surface lot.
