With hotel suites, shops, spas, and a pool deck that overlooks the Las Vegas Strip, the Palazzo has quickly joined the family of Las Vegas' high-class resorts. Tucked right next to the just as classy Venetian resort, the Palazzo brings a fresh architectural design to the Strip.
Martin & Martin performed civil engineering and survey services for a 50-floor luxury tower with approximately 3,050 suites. Featured at the entrance of the hotel lobby, you are met by a 60-foot glass dome and multiple two-story fountains. The Palazzo also includes over 375 concierge-level suites, six villas, and 296 multi-room suites, including six presidential suites. The hotel features an elaborate pool deck with seven pools, gardens, sculptures, cabanas, fountains and an adjacent spa facility. The casino resort features restaurants and a theater that will host major production and Broadway shows.
Offsite improvements included modifications to 1,000 feet of Las Vegas Boulevard and 1,250 feet of Sands Avenue. Roadway modifications included modifying three traffic signals, widening the roadway to incorporate an additional fourth lane, relocating medians for additional left-turn storage while coordinating with Clark County's Strip beautification project, providing loop detection for signals, and repaving 1,000 linear feet of Las Vegas Boulevard full-width while incorporating the completed pedestrian bridges.
Martin & Martin also re-designed the traffic signals and appurtenances at the intersection of Buccaneer Bay and the Palazzo South drive entrance.
Martin & Martin provided a traffic impact analysis for the development which modeled the effect of a hotel and casino resort upon the surrounding road network. This TIA contained Level of Service (LOS) calculations for seven intersections.
